This laptop makes a compelling pop-up workstation is you need some extra visual horsepower for creative software or even quite a bit of gaming. At this size, I wouldn't recommend it as a PC to take out of the house regularly, but it's perfect as a computer you can take off your desk when it's no longer needed.

Thinking on longer terms, it's built a bit tougher than your run-off-the-mill laptop and the maintenance and upgrade process is well documented, making that task a lot easier, especially if you're considering doing it yourself.
