HP 8200 Elite model: HP Elite 8200

Quick Description
An older computer, this refurbished PC has been updated to the latest version of windows and still has a lot to offer if you do not need the latest, greatest thing. I'd recommend this computer for homework, research and social media.
This stationary computer stood out to me on 11 occasions while compiling the weekly Tech Worth Buying Newsletter. It was most recently selected on 2018-06-15, selling for $275.
Other Considerations
Here are a few things about this stationary computer which could come as a surprise. For each point, you will find how to fix it (if it's an issue) and how much to budget for it. Not every point below will be a concern, but hopefully, we can keep your surprises to a minimum.
Frequently Discounted. This device gets discounted on a regular basis (36.68% of the time to be exact).
Speakerless. This stationary computer needs external speakers to play sounds. Your options are to hook it up to a TV or a monitor with built-in speakers, use external speakers or a headset.$0-$500
No Camera or Microphone. If your plans include skyping with family members, you would need a webcam or, for best results, a headset and microphone.$40-$380
Screenless. If you don't already have a monitor from your last computer, you could connect this stationary computer to a TV or get a new monitor.$115-$650
No Wi-Fi. This stationary computer cannot connect to a wireless network out-of-the-box. This is a common situation with high-end desktop computers because because wired networks usually perform better than Wi-Fi. If you do not have the option to use a wired network, a USB WiFi Receiver can resolve that easily.$15-$75
Assuming you are starting over fresh, you can expect to spend $290 on accessories.

What it's capable of
Here are the tasks this computer can handle and how easily it'll breeze through it. A 5-star rating means it should handle the task at a professional level, a 1-star rating means it can do it, but it likely won't be a pleasant experience.

Programs, Apps and Games it will handle
Activity ratings are good but sometimes, you want to be absolutely sure your next purchase will be able to run a specific piece of software.
A 1 star rating means the program'll be usable (according to the developer's own definition; some are more demanding than others); 3 stars mean recommended specs are met with this device; 5 stars will means you will have plenty of overhead to handle uncommon uses of that program like mods, plug-ins and more.
In the same price range
For roughly the same price, you could get one of these. Anything in there sounds like a better deal?
